Let me set the scene:

You’re on hour five of an eight-hour road trip. The next rest stop is at least forty minutes away. The kids are getting antsy. “I’m hungry!” “I’m bored!” “Are we there yet?” echo from the backseat. But you prepared for this. You will not be deterred. With a triumphant smile, you whip out the fully-charged iPads with the new apps you downloaded just for this trip. “BUT THERE’S NO SERVICE OUT HERE!” whines your jaded 7-year-old. You pop your collar and show the novices in the backseat the kids’ apps that do not require a connection to provide limitless entertainment.

Within minutes, the children are settled and you are Queen of Road Trips. Go on with your bad self, Mama.
