I’m a planner. I’m an organizer. I am a twenty-tabs-open-in-the-brain multi-tasking mo’ fo’. Suffice it to say, I am not a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants type of gal. Spontaneity gives me heartburn.
That was, until a last minute trip with family and friends soothed the burn. One Friday, we were chatting about how we should get away for the weekend; the next Friday, we were leaving. It was chaotic and wonderful and the kids still talk about it. So do the adults! The trip was way out of my comfort zone which is probably what makes it extra memorable, and that is why I urge you: take the last minute trip. Do the thing that you’re afraid of. As my pal says, life beings outside of our comfort zones. Step out, won’t you?
